The AHUG (Allies in Health for Underserved Groups) meeting is a recurring monthly event hosted by Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center from its newly established resource center office in the Petersburg Public Library.
The goal of the monthly meeting is to promote Massey's community outreach and engagement efforts in Petersburg and across the Tri-Cities area by connecting with stakeholders from local service organizations, nonprofits, and health care providers.
In order to uncover relationships that allow for Massey and potential partners to work together in addressing barriers of access to care and tackling social determinants of health, attendees are encouraged to come ready to share bi-directional information about their work and network with other service-oriented organizations in the region.
